What to Know Before You Go
Rail is useful between Morocco's main northern and western cities, while the Sahara, Atlas villages, and many smaller towns require road transport.
Confirm the correct station, allow time for boarding and luggage, and arrange the final transfer to a riad before arrival—especially where vehicles cannot enter the medina.
Use trains for the long city-to-city segments and avoid stacking a rail arrival, guided visit, and another transfer into the same half-day.
