Begin inside the medina while the lanes are cooler and quieter, then move to a palace, garden, or food experience once the city becomes busier.
The old city is best explored on foot, but cars cannot reach every riad entrance. Confirm the nearest accessible pickup point and keep garden tickets or timed visits separate from an open-ended souk walk.
Two focused sightseeing blocks with a long lunch or rooftop break usually feel better than trying to cross the medina repeatedly in one day.
